Learning Leaders & Smarter Systems: How to get sh*t done while sitting with uncertainty
In an operating environment of deep uncertainty and growing complexity, the demand for real adaptability--in individual leaders and the organizations they lead--is higher than ever.
Mindsetting & Wayfinding
This concise interactive session is designed to help participants rapidly connect with new thought partners (and even themselves) on a surprisingly deep level by exploring mindset, values & purpose.
Weak Signal Spotting
In a world where the rate of change itself is accelerating at an ever-increasing rate, spotting weak signals – the early indicators of trends and technologies which might shape the future, becomes ever more important.
Laws for Better Future Thinking
Moore’s Law is key to understanding not only the exponential growth of information-enabled technologies but also the last 50 years of economic development and social/cultural change.
Hourglass Economics
The most fundamental change in the marketplace over the last 40 years is that product pyramids are turning into hourglasses, and the middle is disappearing before our very eyes.
Disrupt Disruption
Disruption is fundamentally different from innovation. Together we will explore those differences, the main forces leading to disruption and common challenges companies and their people have when it comes to embracing disruptive change.
Seven Layers of Future Organizations
While technologies are maturing exponentially, organizational structures and processes remain stubbornly linear. Yesterday's best-practices – like the Five-Year-Plan or Innovation Funnel – are not sufficient to navigate today's fast-paced, tech-driven world.
Navigating Complexity
How do we operate most effectively as leaders, decision-makers & learners in an environment of accelerating change, increasing interconnectedness & deep uncertainty?
Managing Polarities
How do we reconcile the need to focus on short-term results with the critical importance of long-term planning and vision?
Chaordic Systems
Many business leaders speak the language of decentralization and adaptability but fail to build (or fully empower) truly decentralized and adaptable systems to power innovation in their own organizations.
Creating Your Vision
After two weeks of unpacking the trends and technologies shaping possible futures, we’ll turn to the question of our preferred future, and we’ll explore storytelling as a tool for creating and sharing that vision.
Prototyping Your Future Self
Organizational transformation and cultural change never stick if you don’t work to transform the individual as well.

“In order to be able to make well-informed strategic choices, it is critical that leaders have an eye on how current trends will play out over the next fifty years. This program gives us a real insight on future trends and how to develop the mindset to be able to spot opportunities that will arise from them. It is a must do for organizational leaders.”

Navin Valrani, CEO, Arcadia Education
YPO Johannesburg’s flagship executive learning event “Digital Impact on Business” taught by Pascal and supported by Jeffrey was truly outstanding. This dynamic duo delivered immediate take-to-work value for our members. The 2-day event, using novel learning and knowledge delivery methods rated a remarkable 9.7. Thank you for a passionate and inclusive program.”

Salim Dewji, Event Chair, YPO Gold Africa at Large
“Jeffrey and Pascal facilitated a two-day program which I could only describe as phenomenal. FutureFWD left me with a clear understanding of what I need to do, how to put it into practice and a solid foundation to start from. It was the most valuable two days I’ve had, changing the way I think about the future and how I engage with it.”

Remo Siciliano, Managing Director, Immersant
“An enlightening masterclass on how new technologies and digital is impacting the future of business. As a natural skeptic, I was concerned the program would leave me with more questions than answers. In fact FutureFWD was practical, informative and very empowering. I left with the abilities to 'drive' into the future as opposed to be a passenger along for the ride. Thank you!”
